Founded in 1838, Beverley is one of Western Australia's oldest settlements. Known as the 'Top of the Avon', Beverley is located 130kms east of Perth on the beautiful Avon River in the lush Wheatbelt District.
Beverley is a quaint agricultural town, that provides both commercial and industrial support to the surrounding agricultural are. Providing an array of services and facilities such as a District High School, Hospital, Aged Care Facilities, Ambulance Service, Child Care, 2 Doctors Surgery's, Fire Brigade, Art Gallery, Platform Theatre, Swimming Pool, Dead Finish Museum and Avondale Farm.
Our community is very family oriented, offering numerous ongoing sports and activities for all age groups. Annual events such as the Beverley Agricultural Show day, Easter Art Exhibition, and Easter Tennis Tournament are all run by supportive volunteers. There are numerous community groups that are very popular such as the Men's Shed, Line Dancing, CWA, Historical Society and many more.
Our Shire is pro-active in planning for the long term future of our community, building facilities to ensure that the community are well accommodated for such as the Recreation Centre at the town oval and Independent Living Units. They have recently built Moort Wabiny Park, a skate and bike park in the main street of town. They are renovating the Town Hall and plans have been made to improve the main street.
